Organic Lavender Sugar
LAVENDER MASHED POTATOES
Organic sugar and lavender buds to add a layer of floral flavoring to your cooking. Just a little goes a long way. We love mixing in a couple of tablespoons in cake or cookie batters, making Lavender Marshmallows, Lavender Mashed Potatoes (YES, it's a delicious thing -recipe below) and rubbing on steaks before pan searing. If you're shy at first, just sprinkle a little into your iced tea or lemonade and we just know you'll fall in love.

INGREDIENTS: ORGANIC RAW CANE SUGAR, ORGANIC LAVENDER FLOWERS

Lavender Mashed Potatoes
What you need:
3 pounds russet potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup heavy cream
1 tablespoon Yum Yum Smile Shop Organic Lavender Sugar
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
What to do:
In a large saucepan, add potatoes and cover with cold water. Salt water with 1 teaspoon salt. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, until potatoes are easily pierced with a fork (approximately 15 to 20 minutes). In a small saucepan, add heavy cream, butter and Organic Lavender Sugar. Heat just until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved (there will still be lavender buds floating). Remove from heat and cover to keep warm. Drain water from potatoes and return to saucepan. Add the cream mixture and, using a potato masher, mash potato mixture until your desired consistency (add more butter or milk here if you like a creamier mashed potatoes). Salt and pepper to taste.
